This is the only bag I've brought with me to Europe. It's a black Longchamp "Le Pliage Shopping" bag. It's very convenient and multi-functional, I don't really need any other bag. I wasn't in love with this bag before the trip, but I have grown to appreciate its characteristics. It's very light and the fabric is awesome - I made several big messes on it and all I needed to do was wipe the mess away and no stain remained. Another good point - it actually stays on my shoulder! Love it! It's the perfect travel companion.
